Is network marketing, as a business today, really achievable for the average person?

Yes! In fact, network marketing is exploding as a powerful force in the new era of global marketing. Beyond its success as an "industry" or more properly, a profession, the impact network marketing is having and will have on all our lives is phenomenal.

Due to the high respect that network marketing is now earning among some Fortune 500 companies, don't be surprised to see a company of the caliber of Honda or Wal Mart launching a network marketing company.

BEING SURE AND TAKING A CHANCE

To be successful in network marketing, you have to be reasonably sure of a few factors. The most important factor to be sure of is your own attitude. It all starts from there. You have to be sure you want to succeed enough to persist through difficulties and setbacks. Total 100 percent commitment comes from a consuming focus that you'll find a way out there to succeed in business. Doing network marketing as a "hobby" just won't get it.

The first thing to be sure of is your commitment to entrepreneurial success. The second thing is company solidity. It's best not to "chance" this. It's best to know that your company is solid enough to last for many years.

On an absolute basis, we can't even be sure we'll be alive tomorrow. So "being sure" is relative. But on a reasonable basis, you can probably be confident that the roof of your house won't collapse tomorrow. Reasonably sure is what I mean by "sure." In a few cases, serious management problems can show up after many years. But the most serious management problems show up within the first two years.

Other factors like: adding or modifying products, changing literature style, or raising prices are somewhat less important. However, the top management team of your company has to be something YOU CAN BE SURE OF. One very important secret to success in network marketing is to define the balance between what is true and what you can take a chance on being true.

PLAN TO FINISH

In network marketing, too many people begin with no real intention of finishing what they're starting. They begin without a plan of action, without even asking themselves what to do next, without being aware that PRACTICE is necessary to learn anything they want to become good enough at, to finish.

The Winners in networking understand this important but common sense point--YOU CAN'T WIN IF YOU DON'T FINISH. They know that if they stay with it, they have an excellent chance of winning.

What I recommend is that you never join any network marketing company without at least a one-year plan. Never join a company to "see what happens." That would be like entering a race with no plan to finish.
