HERE'S TO YOUTH
Youth continues to amaze us here at the Dream Merchant. Not the unreal images presented on television, but the real-life energy and creativity of young people everywhere. There's something about being young that leaves you open to all of life's possibilities. The hard knocks and disappointments haven't kicked in yet and even the most imaginative dream seems real and plausible.
Over the years, we've seen many young people develop new products, create valuable services and start businesses that thrive. Most of these kids simply "do it," without dwelling on failure or "what might happen."
Allowing yourself to be guided by your passion may be the most important step you take in the pursuit of your dream. In other words, learn all you can and don't allow negativity to dash your hopes.
A case in point appears on this issue's cover. Young Cody Pulliam began selling eggs without a thought of failure and has consistently expanded the business while earning a strong reputation in his community. Even better, his example has spurred other family members to get involved in their own business ventures, proving once again that enthusiasm and success are contagious.
But it also proves that Cody's story isn't only for young people. His entrepreneurial spirit can be an example to anyone creating products or starting a business.
Read and reread Cody's story. Allow the fire of youth to reenergize your dream. Take the time to see life in a new way and understand that the happiness you seek is within your grasp.
Good luck with your great ideas.
