Leap of Faith

Back in 1990, when John Moreland began the Dream Merchant Newsletter, the venture was risky at best. Were there that many people working on new ideas and inventions? Would anyone want to read the Dream Merchant, let alone subscribe to it?

Of course, there were interested readers and the newsletter eventually grew into America's leading magazine for inventors. But what if John had allowed those early thoughts to stop him? Much would have been lost if he hadn't taken the initial risk and started publication.

That's often what success boils down to--a risk. A leap of faith. A moment when someone takes the first step into the unknown. But the prospect of risk is the very thing that stops some people dead in their tracks.

Risk pushes our "fear" button--fear of the unknown, fear of loss, fear of failure. But taking the first step can often transform that fear into the energy so necessary for success. Investigate the market, gather information and decide which risks you'll need to take, which risks are acceptable to you.

Then take them!

Remember--Small steps can lead to greater leaps of faith and increased success. And that's what we're after, isn't it?

Good luck with your great ideas.
