Find The Challenge

Challenge is perhaps the greatest motivating force in inventing and in business. Without it, most successful businesses or new products would stall, never reaching their greatest potential. The "challenge" present in the desire to make something, start a business or market a product is what keeps entrepreneurs focused and businesses successful.

Just ask Jeffrey Dobkin, featured in this issue. As a teenager, Dobkin began a business from home that not only did well, but also taught him about the business world through the school of "Hard Knocks." That experience would pay off later in other businesses and in Dobkin's current quest to help educate aspiring entrepreneurs.

Many people new to the business world have benefited from Dobkin's books and articles, which explain business/marketing approaches in a friendly and often humorous style. He has become a friend to readers throughout the country.

But it all stems from that initial idea--the "challenge" of starting a small business at home and making it grow. Dobkin's challenge isn't any different from yours. We're all motivated by the challenge of new ideas, the desire to help people, the excitement of running a business.

Here's hoping your challenges lead to happiness and success. Good luck with your great ideas.
