HOLIDAY GRATITUDE

The holiday season is one of our favorite times of the year at the Dream Merchant. Not only is it a time to be festive and enjoy the company of family and friends, it's also an opportunity to slow down and rest, to reflect on the past year and all our dreams and goals for 2008.

Part of that reflection should also include gratitude, a focus on what we're grateful for as the year wraps up. And as inventors and creative people, we have plenty to be thankful for.

Sometimes, it's even helpful to make a list of those things that makes us grateful, those aspects of life that bring joy to our lives. For example, we might have a list like this:

* You might be grateful to have so many great ideas, to be a creative individual

* You might also be grateful for your own particular skills, those things that allow you to refine and develop your ideas

* You might be grateful that so much assistance is available to inventors and product developers--through books, Internet, and here at the Dream Merchant

* You might focus your gratitude on the fact that you live here In America, where you're free to pursue your ideas and dreams

* You might also reflect on friends and family who have been supportive in the past year

The list could go on, of course, and it's important remember that these are only suggestions. Make your own list, and in those reflective times during the holidays, focus on gratitude and what you're truly grateful for. It's the first step toward entering the new year with a positive attitude. And that can be extremely helpful as you strive toward your goals for next year.
