The Editor's Desk...With Mike Foley
If you're like me, summer always carries a specific set of memories, mostly related to the common features and activities that define the season--longer and warmer days, vacations, time away from school or work, time at the beach, opportunities for home maintenance projects, time for outdoor activity or sports.
All this points to a time of energy, an vibrant time that offers plenty of opportunity for action, growth and learning. Without the often harsh conditions of winter, it's often easier to focus on our goals and approach them with more intensity.
In other words, it's a time to recommit to our dreams. Are you working on a new product? Starting a business? Offering new services in the marketplace? Whatever it is, don't hesitate to set goals for the summer. You can use the energy of summer and milk it for all it's worth.
And the moment to strengthen our focus is always NOW.
So think about what you'd like to accomplish over the summer and set some goals. And at the end of the season, as the nation welcomes autumn, you'll be able to look back on your own labor and be proud of the steps you've taken toward fulfilling your dreams.
The world can't help but be a better place.
