THE EDITOR'S DESK....
One of the greatest pleasures I've had as Dream Merchant editor is talking to successful inventors. Most have stories to share that run deeper than commercial and monetary success--stories of struggle, stories of mistakes, stories of pain and anguish and triumph.
But there's another story I hear consistently--a story of service. Most successful inventors and business people find a way to give back to their communities, often by helping other struggling entrepreneurs and inventors.
That's most evident especially in their work with young people. In this issue, we're featuring an entrepreneur dedicated to helping youngsters learn about the real world and even start their own businesses. Steve Morris, a successful investment banker, founded KidsWay, Inc. in 1994. Along with the help of author Bonnie Drew, he has built KidsWay into a multi-dimensional service business, offering kids entrepreneurial classes and camps, learning centers and a bimonthly magazine.
In other words, kids in this program will have the tools necessary for success in business and in life. We at the Dream Merchant can think of few things more important than that. Check out our feature on KidsWay--we think you'll agree.
And, while you're at it, why not begin thinking about the young people in your life. Do you have knowledge and skills to share with them? We bet you do. Why not share those skills and make a young person's life a bit easier? It may be the most rewarding thing you've ever done.
Good luck with your great ideas.
