FINDING START-UP MONEY Here Are Some Ideas for Funding Your New Business.
By Bonnie Drew
Most businesses for young entrepreneurs can be started with very little money. For some young entrepreneurs, starting a business is a simple as using your allowance to print flyers advertising your Saturday morning puppet shows or pet-sitting service.
Businesses that involve selling a product may cost more to start. If you dream of owning a t-shirt business or plan to sell baseball cards, your startup costs will include some hefty expenses for the purchase of inventory.
If you find yourself short on capital to start your business, these suggestions my help you out:
* Have a garage sale* Do odd jobs to earn start-up money for your business
* Save money from your allowance or birthday gifts.
* Find a partner with money to invest
* Negotiate a small loan from your parents
* Use your business plan to apply for a grant or loan
Startup money for young entrepreneurs often comes from a combination of sources. Your business plan should include a list of all your sources for start-up money and how much capital you estimate you can raise from each.
