SEVEN WAYS TO KEEP CUSTOMERS HAPPY Customer Service is Essential to Success.
By Bonnie Drew
No matter what business you decide to start, it's important to keep your customers happy and treat them with respect. Here are a few essentials for keeping customers happy and satisfied.
1. Be Cheerful and Courteous--Show them you are interested in doing good work. Discuss the job and the pay before you start.2. Dress Neatly and Be On Time--Customers appreciate dependability.
3. Create a List--Make a detailed list of instructions and check off each step as it is completed.
4. Be Careful--Respect others' property and don't damage it in any way. If an accident happens, report it immediately and offer to pay for the damages.
5. Stay Focused--Don't be distracted by TV, kids, friends, or pets. Work steadily. Listening to music sometimes helps you work better. But don't annoy customers with your music. Use earphones.
6. Don't Leave a Mess--Clean up after any job you perform, put back anything you've moved, and haul away all trash.
7. Show Gratitude--Always say thanks when you get paid, and set an appointment for the next time.
These easy steps will go a long way toward making your business a success.
