SAVING MONEY WHEN PLACING ADS

When Sending in Your Ad Orders, Be Sure to Check Out the Incentives a Publisher May Be Offering.
  1. By Gary Christensen

Every time you're ready to send an ad order to a publisher, check to see if that publisher is offering you a FOURTH AD Free, when you purchase and pay for THREE ads in advance. Publishers will usually offer this incentive, giving you one Free ad, when you order and pay for three ads at the time of order

This allows them to know in advance how many ads they have, as early as possible, so that they can plan the layout of their next three issues. It also gives them your money up front, for the next three issues, and for this, they're willing to give you one ad Free when you order three in advance.

Yes--it does cost you more money up front, since you have to buy Three ads instead of just one, but you are receiving EACH AD for less money, AND you don't have to worry about possibly missing the next three deadlines.

In addition, when placing ads, you should be sure to include your contact information.

You think we know who you are. You're sending an order or an inquiry. You assume that we all know you, but....are you sure?

Be certain that your full name and address are clearly printed or rubber stamped on your envelope. In addition, make sure your full name and address are printed on your checks, order forms, and even on the personal note you're sending along with the order. Your envelope and your note might get separated, so your name and address should be on each piece.

Send along your email address, too, because your order or note could arrive without your check, or apart from your envelope. If the publishers needs to contact you, to get further information or to let you know of a delay, they could send you an email note quickly. With that in mind, send along your phone number, too.

Don't just assume that everyone knows how to contact you. Include all your contact information on each item inside and outside of your envelope.
