BREAKING RULES AND MAKING MONEY

People Will Tell You Many Things About Starting (or Not Starting) a Business. The Question is--Will You Listen?

By Gary Christensen

I was told that I shouldn't try to start my own mail order business. I did it, anyway, and I'm making money at it.

I was told that you couldn't make any money selling mail order products on the Internet. I'm doing it anyway, and making money doing it.

I was told there were already too many "How-To" books in the marketplace and that I couldn't possibly market my own books, alone. But I didn't listen to that "advice," either and I'm doing just fine, and earning a nice living at it, thank you very much.

I started mailing out articles for other writers and was told "there are already plenty of other Article Mailing Services out there" so I probably wouldn't make any money at it. But I do it anyway, and it brings in a couple hundred extra each month.

If you feel your product will sell, if you feel you can make money with your new idea, if you believe your new business has merit, but all the experts tell you not to do it...break the rules and do it, anyway.

Very often, what worked for others may NOT work for you. But what might NOT have worked for others may work very well indeed for YOU. Don't always listen to what others advise you to do. Sometimes they've been wrong. Some "experts" or "advice givers" are often evaluating YOU and YOUR product from their OWN point-of-view. They don't think THEY could do it, so they feel YOU couldn't, either.

Jesus chose 12 common Fishermen and told them to go...and to teach. They had no formal training, they weren't given a blueprint or master plan, but they had the command of the Son of God, who told them He would be with them wherever they went. They also had a belief in themselves and a "stick-to-it-ness" that they had learned as Fishermen.

Do you believe in your product or your idea? Are you willing to "Go...and do it?" Will you stick to it and not give up at the first sign of Troubled Waters? Then you will succeed!
