A TALE OF TWO INVENTORS

Wives of two inventors were mending their respective husband's
trousers. One complained constantly about the difficulty of
commercializing an invention. The other was surprised because
 their invention was making millions.

They could not understand why a loving and just God would play
favoritism and allow such an unjust differential. In desperation
they prayed. Promptly an angel appeared, who simply said the answer
is in your hands and faded into the sky through the roof as if it
 were not there.

At first they were puzzled just like you, but finally they figured
it out. You see the first was patching the seat of the pants and
the second was patching the knees.

Moral to the story is - Pray as if every thing depended upon God, but
work your pants off as if every thing depended upon you. In theory
either can do the trick, but in practice it takes both.

But then in theory there is no difference between theory and
practice, and in practice there is no similarity between theory and
 practice.
